EMPOWER’s
Treatment Philosophy
EMPOWER programs follow a population health model, with resources directed primarily at prevention, early intervention and primary intervention. In addition, EMPOWER offers trainings to outside provider groups, and organizational consultations, to further disseminate their evidence-based models throughout the region and beyond. EMPOWER emphasizes family centered care. Family involvement in assessment and treatment is considered essential to successful outcomes in behavioral health. Family interventions are key components in effective psychiatric treatment planning. Families are provided full disclosures regarding the scope of services and credentials of our clinical professionals. The routine and intensive outpatient programs are delivered by multidisciplinary teams, whose members collaborate and coordinate services.

Coordination of services and collaboration between EMPOWER clinicians and other healthcare providers, schools, communities or other agencies, is a high priority. Evidence-based, best practice protocols are followed and outcomes are routinely tracked and used to inform programs and optimize patient care. Standardized rating scales and other tools are routinely administered, for assessment and tracking of treatment progress.
